The Exchange of Power

I remember Martin Luther King standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, today his dream became reality as we watched the first African-American president be sworn into office.
Yet, once again, our nation has practiced it's most fundamental practice..the peaceful and orderly exchange of power. I pray for our new President and Vice President, that they will have wisdom and strength. I pray that he will be led by God, that he will be a Godly man, that he will have wisdom and the strength necessary to make the hard choices and decisions that will build our country into the Godly nation our founding fathers intended us to be. I pray he will strengthen our nation and that he will continue to be a beacon of hope for our nation and not be a stumbling block, that he will not fall prey to the Washington political machine, that he will hold fast to the ideals he expressed when running for office.
God Bless America.
